Buyer Reviews : One flaw in the Powershot/Elph's design is the absence of a battery meter (like Sony's where you see % juice left). Once the red low batt symbol flashes, you can't squeeze in more than 6 or 7 shots before your camera turns into a shiny paperweight. And Canon's proprietary battery isn't one that you could find in a 7-11. That's why I always carry this spare battery, which fits nicely in the small zip pocket in front of my camera bag. Perfect for those out-of-town trips, or once-in-a-lifetime events. Now I never miss a photo op!
